Food Safety Management Systems (FSMS) based on ISO 22000 helps organization to organize food and beverage risks. Those system managements need to consider not only basic rules of food safety and acceptable workplace practices, but also plans for crisis such as product recalling. All of these practices shape a foundation for Food Safety Management System. These standards include key elements of Food Safety, for instance, HACCP that is designed for all food industry segments. Furthermore, the pre-requisite programs like GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) are vital foundation for developing and implementation of a HACCP system.
The Food Safety Management System based on ISO 22000 has been successfully implemented in Mayora factories. Moreover, all Mayora Factories have succeeded in getting ISO 9001 certificates and most of them have also got ISO 22000 certificates (Tirta Fresindo Jaya, Mayora Cibitung, Mayora Jatake 2 (Biscuit), Dellifood Sentosa Corpindo, Kakao Mas Gemilang/Health food, Mayora Indah (Chocolate) and Mayora Wafer)
Every 6 months, Mayora ISO 9001 and ISO 22000 certified factories are audited for consistency checking. Therefore, on September 30, 2011, one of Mayora factories, PT Torabika Eka Semesta, was audited by SGS Auditor team for ISO 9001:2008 and the result was no findings.
The audit team concludes that the organization has established and maintained its management system in line with the requirements of the standard and demonstrated the ability of the system to systematically achieve agreed requirements for products or services within the scope and the organizations policy and objectives.
This result shows that Torabika Eka Semesta has been consistently maintained its quality management system as one of the leading food company with its distinguished brand Torabika.
